The Cottages

Our cottages’ website: www.alstonselfcatering.co.uk

We welcome bookings for our peaceful self catering cottages.

Ghyll Burn Cottage and Barn End have been renovated to a high standard. Ghyll Burn Cottage (sleeps 4/6) retains its old world charm with wooden beams and an old stairway turret with a slit window. Barn End (sleeps 3/4) is a charming Barn Conversion with wooden beams in the main living room.

Located high in the North Pennines, the cottages are an ideal base for walking, cycling, touring, watching wildlife or just relaxing.

The cottages nestle in a secluded valley within our specialist Alpine Plant Nursery, just over a mile from the town of Alston. They are both ideal as a base for walking, cycling, touring, watching wildlife or just relaxing. Roe deer may wander by, red squirrels can be seen in the tall trees or on the nut feeder as well as many species of birds, nesting and visiting.

Or contact us directly on 01434 381372 or email us at ghyllburn@plantswithaltitude.co.uk for further information and availability of both cottages.
