Neil and Sue Huntley invite you to visit their Hardy Plant Nursery high in the North Pennines.
This family run nursery was established in 1975 and specialises in propagating, growing and selling some of the rarely offered hardy plants from around the world.
The wide range of old and new species and varieties includes Alpines, Primulas, Spring and Autumn Flowering Gentians, Rock Garden Plants, Woodland Garden Plants, Dwarf Conifers, Dwarf Rhododendrons and Hardy Ferns. Something for everyone from the beginner to the specialist.

The Nursery is situated on the scenic A686 Alston to Penrith Road, one and a half miles from Alston

The nursery will be open as below:-

MARCH - APRIL - MAY AND JUNE
Monday to Friday (not including Bank Holidays) 11.30am - 4.30pm.
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays 12.30pm - 4.00pm.

JULY - AUGUST - SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER
Tuesday to Friday 11.30am - 4.30pm.
Saturdays and Sundays - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
Bank Holidays 12.30pm - 4.00pm.

During the winter months and at all other times - by appointment

When we are busy at major Flower Shows, the Nursery may not be open.
